Hello! I am so pleased you gave me info to this site, I am a Western descendant - from the New Zealand branch. My grandfather was Eric Halifax Western, and my mother Hettie Mabel Western. I am looking forward to being able to access things here, and maybe, just maybe add a little info for you.
Regards, Kath

Often walk to felix hall with my son we are fascinated by it. I would love to have the funds to restore it to its original beauty , maybe one day. I used to deliver Lakeland parcels to the old lady who lived there (2-3 years ago) does anyone know if she is still alive ( an amazing lady) walked there yesterday looks closed up??

This is a great and a very interesting website website (nice to read and with great pictures). I will tell all my relatives about it. A real pleasure to explore! Go ahead, best regards from www.katzer.pl (Katzer - the name, the roots, the origin. Family genealogy and local history.) I have been interested in family history as long as I can remember. Nicolas Katzer, the court astronomer of Henry VIII is the oldest certified person by the name of Katzer we know.

Hi Mary,
Thank you for your entry in the guestbook. Your email is invalid? The subscription database has all the royal houses and links to 140000 people. I am sure you would find in worthwhile joining if you believe you may have a royal link somewhere in your family tree. Or even if you don't.
You can have a free trial as well.
Have a look at http://www.maximiliangenealogy.com/genealogy/2007_new_tng/index.php for details and to sign up.
Cheers
Peter

One of my ancestors from South Suffolk had the name Tatt - is there any connection with your village? Another family name was Nunn.

Thank you for the information on my family tree. My grandmother was Eleanor Western Callis and her grandfather was a rector at Rivenhall. My family had a portrait of him for years, and my mother still has the Callis ring. I'll be visiting the U.K. next spring to do some more geneaological research. Hope to meet one or two of my long-lost relatives.

Hi,
It was a pleasure to browse the beautiful illustrations from the work of William Hogarth that your site display. I've just acquired a set of fine prints from his "Marriage a la mode" -- for St. Michael Hall -- and was interested to learn more of the 'heroic' (or grand-manner) tradition, as possibly started in England by Hogarth. Your site was very educational.
I especially enjoyed the 'Finis' piece -- a 'pathos' or pieta pose -- and the profile of Time smoking a painting!
Cheers,
